UTSA names OU assistant as new head basketball coach

UTSA has hired University of Oklahoma assistant basketball coach Steve Henson as the new head coach of the Roadrunners.The university made the announcement on Friday.The move, which has been reported by ESPN Basketball Insider Jeff Goodman and “Oklahoman” reporter Ryan Aber, comes after the firing of previous head coach Brooks Thompson earlier this month.Thompson spent 10 seasons at UTSA and compiled an overall record of 133-178.
